Feel Good in your Own Skin! It Matters!

Feeling safe, stable, and secure is not only good for your health, it's essential. Your physical and mental well-being are greatly affected by how safe you feel in your own body, not just in your surroundings.

Ever wondered what happens to your body and mind when your nervous system is in constant high alert? It can be mentally and physically draining, leading to a whole range of symptoms. We're talking about increased heart rate, high blood pressure, breathing issues, migraines, digestive problems, weakened immune system, and constantly feeling on edge, frustrated, and angry. It's like our body goes into survival mode, just trying to get through each day instead of truly thriving and enjoying life.

Some people struggle to "turn off" their nervous system if they experienced fear, anger, hurt, shame, or other traumas during their upbringing. Practices like breathwork, meditation, yoga, and relaxation can help regulate the nervous system. But how do you even start if there's so much chaos inside? Most people keep themselves busy to avoid facing the chaos within.

However, when you ignore the chaos for too long, your body gets sick and it becomes a necessity rather than a choice.

So, here's a friendly reminder in this fast-paced life: take a moment to breathe! Take the time to seek the support you need to address your past traumas. If it's hard to go to the dark place and sit with it, then ask for support.  Do some yoga, meditate! Give your body the opportunity to release stress and trauma, and allow your nervous system to find its way back to a balanced state.
